About us

Bell Stainless | Copperworx is part of Bell Stainless group, based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

We specialise in the fabrication of copper assets for both residential and commercial applications, and we use a process of TIG welding which has proven to be a strong and durable method for joining various types of structures.

This website has lots of interesting things to learn about our work with this ancient metal.

Copper was actually one of the first metals to be used by people, the earliest known artifacts are nearly 10,000 years old. Unlike stainless steel and brass it occurs naturally in a relatively pure form.

Surface finishes

All metals (and most other materials, including our bodies) are effected by exposure to oxygen and various other atmospheric elements. In the case of copper, a thin oxidation layer (ie tarnish) forms on the surface, which turns dark over time, and gives an "aged" or "distressed" appearance to the metal.
